Once you’ve installed apps, they will appear at the top of the list with Open buttons next to them. If you have updates available for apps, they will show here as well.

Note

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT UPDATES:

It’s best not to update to the newest version right after it’s released, in case there are still bugs that need to be worked out or compatibility issues with other software installed on your system. Check with your instructor to see whether they recommend updating, or if you’re having issues with your computer contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@ccad.edu or 614.222.6174.

Troubleshooting

You know things are working properly if:

  • The buttons in the Creative Cloud Desktop App say Install and not Try or Buy

  • Once you install individual apps like Photoshop or Illustrator, the buttons will change from Install to Open

  • If apps have updates available, the buttons will labeled Update. Click to update the app to the latest version.

Warning

If the buttons say Try and Buy, you are not logged in with your CCAD email address. Click the profile circle at the top right and choose Sign Out. Then, sign in using your CCAD email address.

If you are logged in using the correct Adobe ID and the buttons still say Try and Buy, please contact the Help Desk for assistance by emailing helpdesk@ccad.edu or calling 614.222.6174.

If you see buttons labeled Try or Buy, sign out and log in using your CCAD email address.
