CCAD provides and supports a variety of tools for teaching and learning in in-person, online, and hybrid settings. These pages offer guidance and tutorials on how to use these tools, and what they are used for.
Most online and hybrid instruction and collaboration happen in these three tools.
CCAD's Learning Management System (LMS)
used for: course files, gradebook, forums, lessons, assignments, journals, wikis, and VoiceThread
All courses will use Moodle in the 2021-2022 Academic Year.
used for: Gmail, Drive (unlimited storage), Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Meet, YouTube
used for: course/group/individual audio and video calls, chats, shared files and lecture recording

As of Fall 2020 students can access this for free using their CCAD email address.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
used for: document creation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Please choose analogous Google Workplace tools first.
used for: videoconferencing and recording. This can serve as a back-up choice for Teams. Useful for scheduling one-to-one meetings between faculty and students. Access Google Meet through your CCAD Google Calendar.

As of Fall 2021, Substance Suite is owned by Adobe. However, some aspects of the licensing are not fully integrated in the Creative Cloud for Education. See the instructions above to set up Substance Suite on your personal or CCAD-issued laptop.
