Step-by-step instructions

Click Windows menu at the bottom left of your screen and type “sharing”. This will start a search. Click Manage advanced sharing settings.

Go back one level by clicking Network and Sharing Center across the top of the window

Click Set up a new connection or network and choose Manually connect to a wireless network

Enter “ARTNET” as the Network Name (case-sensitive), and choose WPA2-Enterprise as the Security Type. Click Next.

Click Change connection settings to open the network properties window. Click the Security tab, and then click the Settings button.

Uncheck the first box, “Verify the server’s identity…” Click OK.

Click Advanced Settings.

Check the first box, “Specify authentication mode:” Change the drop down below to User authentication, and click the Save credentials box to the right.

Enter your CCAD username and password, and click OK.

Enter your username and password very carefully. If there’s a mistake, it will let you save the incorrect credentials and you’ll have to go through these steps all over again.

Click OK, OK, and Close to close all the open windows. Click the WiFi icon in your system tray at the bottom right. If you did everything correctly, your computer will automatically connect to ARTNET:

Something went wrong

If your WiFi panel says Can’t connect to this network, you entered your username or password incorrectly. To fix it, you have to forget ARTNET and configure it again. Click Network & Internet settings.

Choose WiFi from the list on the left, and click Manage Known Networks.

Click ARTNET and then click Forget.

Now, start at the beginning of the instructions to re-add ARTNET. Make sure to enter your username and password carefully.
