Moodle
Introduction
Moodle is CCAD's Learning Management System (LMS), where you can submit assignments, check your attendance, and view your grades. Use these pages to discover a variety of useful tools and functions so you can get the most out of Moodle.
Home
This is the Main Menu. It contains links to the Dashboard and My Courses within Moodle, as well as links to other CCAD systems such as Self-Service, and IT Knowledge Base.
Your Profile at the top right can be used to upload a picture and set various preferences. This is also where you can access notifications and Moodle Messages.
Site News is where you can see updates about CCAD Moodle, including when classes are available to faculty and students, and when site maintenance is scheduled to occur.
The Course Search box allows you to find courses based on the course code or keywords in the title.
The My Courses section contains courses that you're enrolled in. To see them in a list view, click Dashboard in the Main Menu.
Dashboard
The Dashboard is a page that provides users with details of their progress and upcoming deadlines.
The Dashboard calendar gives you an overview of the month. Assignments are shown on their due date. To view more information about an assignment, click on its title.
My courses
You can view all of your courses, including those from prior semesters, on the My Courses page. Another option is to search by course name. Using the 4-letter program code and the 4-digit course code (for example, CORE1120) is the most effective method for finding courses.
To filter which courses you see, click on “All” to access a dropdown menu. You can select between seeing all courses, in progress, past, or future courses.
Click on one of your courses to see its Main Course Page.
Self Service
Self Service is CCAD’s online registration system. This is where you can view degree requirements, search and register for classes, view grades for prior classes, pay bills, request a change to your name as it is displayed in CCAD systems, and request an unofficial transcript.
My CCAD
My CCAD is a hub where you can access frequently used tools. These include Moodle, Self Service, email, the IT Knowledge Base, graduation information, information about resources available to students, and the online CCAD store. It also shows the school’s most recent announcements and upcoming events.
