Using Teams in a Browser

  1. Visit office.com to access all the apps for Office 365 and sign in with your CCAD credentials.

  2. Click on the waffle in the left-hand corner which will display Office 365 apps (these are your most used apps). Or click the Teams tile if it is already visible.

  3. If Teams is not listed, click on “All Apps” at the bottom. The apps are listed in alphabetical order.

Downloading Teams

From the Teams home screen, you may select the download button in the lower left to install Teams to your device:

Once you have finished running the installer, Teams should launch automatically.

Team Meetings

Teams will allow you to hold class sessions or team meetings in two ways: virtual and recorded.

• Virtual class sessions or meetings would be those held at the same time with all the members of class or staff team virtually.
• Recorded format would allow students or staff team members to access the materials at their own leisure.

Video Call Meetings
You can use the video meeting call option to host virtual class session and meetings and record the session to share with others. These meetings are considered public which means that you can record them for posterity.

Creating a new Teams meeting

To create a new Teams meeting, open your Outlook desktop client and switch to Calendar view.

On the Home tab, click New Teams Meeting.

1. In the To… line, enter all recipients for this invitation. Be sure to add yourself in this line too.

Add a Subject and leave the Location set to Microsoft Teams Meeting.

2. Schedule the appointment by setting a start time and end time along with the correct date. This information will appear in the recipients' invitation.

3. After adding any other information in the message body, hit Send.
