We recommend downloading and installing the Teams app on your computer rather than using
the web version. Follow the instructions in the sections below.

If you have a CCAD-issued Mac laptop, the app will install on its own once your computer connects to CCAD’s network. Check your Applications folder for the Teams app. If you don’t see it and you are off campus, you will need to connect your computer to VPN and wait for the app the install.

PC users follow the instructions below to download app


Download Teams app

  1. Go to office.com and log in with your CCAD username and password.

Please note: If you have not set up two-factor authentication on your office.com account, you will be required to do so after logging in. Please click here for instructions.

2. From your office.com apps page, click on Teams to open the web version.

3. Click Next to skip through the Teams introduction. Click the Download button in the lower left to download the Teams app to your computer. You will find the installer in your Downloads folder.

Install Teams app

  1. Find the installer in your Downloads folder. Double-click it to open.

    1. On Windows, the installer will run in the background and launch Teams once finished.

    2. On Mac, it will open an installer. Click Next to follow the prompts and install Teams. Find the Teams app in your Applications folder and double-click it to launch.

  2. When you launch Teams, you will see the login screen.

Mac

  1. Find Teams in your Applications folder and double-click it to open. Enter your CCAD email address and click Sign in.

Students: If your GoMail address doesn’t work, try without the ‘go’.
e.g., if jsmith.1@go.ccad.edu doesn’t work try jsmith.1@ccad.edu.

2. This will take you to the Microsoft login screen. Enter your CCAD email again and click Next.

3. If you see the screen below, be sure to select Work or school account. Otherwise, skip to step 4.

4. Enter your CCAD password and click Sign in.

5. You are now logged into Teams! 🎉

Windows

1. Open the Windows menu in the bottom left of your screen, type ‘Teams’ and press Enter to launch Teams. Log in with your CCAD email address and password.

Students: If your GoMail address doesn’t work, try without the ‘go’.

2. You are now logged into Teams! 🎉

Teams on a Mobile Device

Teams is available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play for use on phones, tablets and other mobile devices. Please be aware that calls and messages may also sent to your mobile device even if working on the desktop app. You might also want to adjust your data settings to avoid the use of cellular data if you don’t have an unlimited data plan.
