How do I connect my device and start using eduroam?
What is eduroam?
eduroam, developed for international research and education, provides secure WiFi access for CCAD students, faculty, and staff at institutions around the world. It also allows affiliates from participating institutions to obtain Wi-Fi connectivity when visiting CCAD’s campus without using our Guest user network. Learn more at eduroam.org
Okay, but what does it do?
Simply put, when you visit an eduroam enabled location you can login to free, secure WiFi using an email address and password from a participating institution.
In the Columbus region alone there are over 17 institutions/locations you can access this service including The Ohio State University (Ohio Stadium!), Franklin University, Columbus State, and Otterbein College. Outside of Ohio, eduroam is available across the country from Michigan Technological University (way up there in the Upper Peninsula) to institutions at our southern border like San Diego State University.
