CCAD students have full access to Adobe Creative Cloud apps. This page explains how to download and install Creative Cloud and sign in with a CCAD email (e.g., to license the apps.

  • This offer includes both undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Fulltime and adjunct faculty, and fulltime staff can also install and use Adobe Creative Cloud software on a personal computer using these instructions.

If you already have the Creative Cloud installed on your computer, simply sign out of your personal account and skip to the Sign in section below.

Download and install

Go to Click the Download button to download the installer to your Downloads folder.

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the installer to open it. Follow the prompts to finish installing the Creative Cloud app.

After the installer is finished, open your Applications folder (macOS) or Windows menu (Windows) and open the Creative Cloud app.

Enter you CCAD email address and click Continue.

Choose Company or School Account and use the same passphrase you use to log into your CCAD email.

After signing in, you’ll see the Apps page with Install buttons to choose which apps you want to install.

Once you’ve installed apps, they will appear at the top of the list with Open buttons next to them. If you have updates available for apps, they will show here as well.

It’s best not to update to the newest version right after it’s released, in case there are still bugs that need to be worked out or compatibility issues with other software installed on your system. Check with your instructor to see whether they recommend updating, or if you’re having issues with your computer contact the IT Help Desk at or 614.222.6174.

You’re all set! What now?

You know things are working properly if:

  • The buttons in the Creative Cloud Desktop App say Install and not Try or Buy

  • Once you install individual apps like Photoshop or Illustrator, the buttons will change from Install to Open

  • If apps have updates available, the buttons will labeled Update. Click to update the app to the latest version.

If the buttons say Try and Buy, you are not logged in with your CCAD email address. Click the profile circle at the top right and choose Sign Out. Then, sign in using your CCAD email address.

If you are logged in using the correct Adobe ID and the buttons still say Try and Buy, please contact the Help Desk for assistance by emailing or calling 614.222.6174.

If you see buttons labeled Try or Buy, sign out and log in using your CCAD email address.
