Welcome to CCAD!

This guide will walk you through setting up your CCAD account, what tools and resources are available to you and how to access and use them, and how to get help. If you need any help, you can contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@ccad.edu, 614.222.6174, or stop by the Help Desk inside the Packard Library on the lower level of the Canzani building.



 


Your CCAD account

Microsoft account

Log in for the first time at links.ccad.edu/mail to access your CCAD email.

When you log in for the first time using your initial password you will be asked to change it and set up account recovery information so you can unlock your account or reset your password.
Passphrase Requirements & Guidelines

CCAD email

Faculty email is based on Gmail and gets you access to other Google Workspace for Education apps— Drive, Docs, Meet, etc. using the All Apps button at the top right of Gmail.

Click the all apps button at the top right of Gmail to browse other Google apps.

 

The Faculty Technology Toolkit

The Faculty Technology Toolkit includes tools used to deliver in-person, hybrid, and online classes. Introducing tools other than these must be approved by your Chair/Director. For video tutorials, instructions, and other resources, click here: Faculty Technology Toolkit

 

Paycor: HR System

Paycor is where you can view time off balances, request time off, and view HR information. Log in at links.ccad.edu/paycor using your CCAD email and password.

Use Paycor to:

  • View your employee record including address and pay information

  • View time off balances

  • If you have questions about how to use Paycor or request a change of information, please contact humanresources@ccad.edu 

 

Moodle: Learning Management System

Log in at moodle.ccad.edu using your CCAD username and password

Moodle home page

 

  • Important information is shown at the top of the home page

  • Your courses will be displayed on the home page under My Courses

  • Courses are made available to students the Friday before the semester begins

You can turn your course on before this date if you want in your Course Settings

Moodle is used for:

  • Setting up your Gradebook

  • Giving course materials like syllabi, readings, recorded lectures, etc.

  • Posting assignments

  • Taking attendance

  • Hosting asynchronous course discussions

  • Submitting final grades

  • Course evaluations

  • Finding Library Resources

Self Service: Online Registration System

Log in at ss.ccad.edu with your CCAD email and password

Students use Self Service to:

  • Register for classes

  • View their account balance and paying bills

  • View grades for past courses

  • Request unofficial transcripts

  • Change their preferred name in CCAD systems

Faculty use Self Service to:

Don’t project legal names shown on the class roster in Self Service. Preferred names are listed in Moodle.

Microsoft Teams and M365 apps

Go to office.com and log in with your CCAD email and password

The M365 Apps page contains links open the apps or install the desktop version.

 

  • From here you can open M365 apps including Microsoft Teams

  • You can also download M365 apps to your computer by clicking Install Apps

  • You can change the password to your CCAD account from the Gear menu

  • If you record class sessions with Teams, you will find them in OneDrive

 

Click Teams to download, or go directly to the Teams download page here.

Click the Download button on the Teams download page to install the app.

 

Adobe Creative Cloud

Students, faculty and staff get a full license of Creative Cloud using their CCAD account including:

  • Acrobat DC

  • Photoshop

  • Illustrator

  • InDesign

Go to the Creative Cloud download page to begin.

Click Download to get the Creative Cloud installer.

After installing it, simply log in using your CCAD email and password.

The Creative Cloud desktop app has links to install apps on your computer.

 

  • All campus computer labs have Creative Cloud software installed. Log in with your CCAD email address and password.

  • If you or your students need help setting up Creative Cloud, visit our help page: Adobe Creative Cloud

Remember to log out of lab computers and remind your students to log out before you leave.

 

Campus Technology and Resources for Faculty

 

  • Faculty Resource Rooms get you access to a computer, a campus phone and a B/W printer. Some rooms also have a color printer.

  • Visit the Mailroom in the Admin building across from Security for office supplies and color print/copying needs
