The Big 3
Most teaching, learning and collaboration happens in these three tools.
Adobe Creative Cloud
used for: collaboration and shared file options. Includes the Substance 3D Collection.
As of Fall 2020 students can access this for free using their CCAD email address.
Google Workspace for Education
used for: Gmail, Drive (unlimited storage), Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Meet, YouTube
Office 365
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
used for: document creation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Please choose Google Workplace tools first.
The Learning Management System and Supporting Resources
Moodle
CCAD's Learning Management System (LMS)
used for: course files, gradebook, forums, lessons, assignments, journals, wikis, and VoiceThread. All degree-seeking courses use Moodle.
Substance Suite Student & Faculty Licenses
used for: Create, capture, and paint 3D materials + stage and render 3D scenes.
As of Fall 2022, the Substance suite is now available to install directly from the Creative Cloud app.
Microsoft Teams
used for: course/group/individual audio and video calls, chats, shared files and lecture recordings
Google Meet
used for: videoconferencing and recording. This can be used as a backup option for Teams. Useful for scheduling one-to-one meetings between faculty and students. Access Google Meet through your CCAD Google Calendar.
Loom
used for: short, 5-10 minute screen recordings
